- Due its Side Suction and Impeller vanes backside designed (opposite to typical end suction impeller) , pressure created on seal is very less and hence increases seal life.
- Even in gland packed designed, leakage from gland is zero during running condition.
- Best Suited for Caustic soda Plants , Lime Slurry , Filter Press, Caustic Scrubber etc.
- Available in Non-Metallic and Metallic Construction.
- Best Suited for Sulphate/Chlorides/Slurry type/Fitler press applications.
- Noise & Maintenance Free
- Oil Lubricated Bearings
- Can be used for negative suction also with seal type arrangements.
- Mainly for handling Highly Corrosive & Abrasive Slurry (20 %)
- Effluent and Water Treatment Plants
- Handling Acids and Alkalis
- Chemicals, Dyes & Pigments Industries

FAQ's
What are Slurry Pumps?
Slurry Pumps (Side Suction pumps) are heavy-duty pumps designed to handle liquids containing abrasive or solid particles. They are commonly used where conventional pumps may experience excessive wear due to suspended solids and where seal failures are frequent.
What are Slurry Pumps used for?
Slurry Pumps – Side Suction pumps are used for transferring abrasive and solid-laden fluids in industries such as mining, mineral processing, chemical processing, wastewater treatment, and various industrial applications.
What are the advantages of Slurry Pumps?
Slurry Pumps are designed to provide reliable fluid transfer when handling abrasive materials and suspended solids due to its unique side suction arrangement which allows less pressure on seal / gland and thus increase seal life. Their robust construction can help reduce wear and support dependable operation in demanding applications.
How do I select the right Slurry Pump for my application?
The right Slurry Pump depends on factors such as slurry concentration, particle size, fluid density, flow rate, head, temperature, and the abrasive nature of the material. Proper selection helps achieve efficient performance and longer service life.
Why choose Swaraj Poly Pumps for Slurry Pumps?
Swaraj Poly Pumps offers Slurry Pumps – Side Suction pumps designed for demanding industrial fluid-handling applications. The SSP Series provides a robust pumping solution for applications involving abrasive fluids and suspended solids.
