Product Overview
- PE Series pumps are Solid Moulded UHMW-PE pumps, Horizontal, Back pull-out, Single
- Volute Casing type, Single Stage, Centre line discharge, End Suction Centrifugal Pumps.
- Thermoplastic (UHMW-PE) is a low cost, chemically resistant, Abrasion resistant, tough and durable plastic material that can be used for a wide variety of applications and are excellent alternates to expensive super alloy pumps for hazardous, corrosive and toxic media.
- Alternatively, we offer these pumps with Material of Construction as PP – H / GFRPP also in name of HN – Series depending upon the requirement.
- Dimensional and design criteria of PE Series pumps conform to ISO 2858 / ISO 5199.
UHMW-PE Pumps Properties
- UHMW-PE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is an extremely tough and abrasion resistant thermoplastic that is used for applications that require durability and/or abrasive wear resistance.
- It is superior than PP / GFRPP in terms of abrasion resistance, mechanical strength and toughness
- It is not possible to process UHMW-PE through conventional methods such as injection, blow or extrusion moulding, because this material does not flow even at temperatures above its melting point. It demands special processing techniques, being the most common RAM extrusion and compression moulding.
- Key Characteristics of UHMWPE
- Excellent Abrasion Resistance and Mechanical Strength
- Good Chemical Resistance.
- Extremely Tough and Durable.
- Low co-effcient of Friction (Selflubricative)
- High Impact Strength.
- No absorption of liquid.
